College shopping is causing me to find far too many ways to spend my money.
There are posters to get! I already own two: an old WWI poster and a "Have You Seen This Wizard" one that Paulina gave me :) And then there's my little diet coke ad. But there are so many more that I want--like a Lake Placid Olympics poster (either year) and a WWII poster and this and a Vermeer print or maybe some other artist...well, maybe I'll get some littler prints so I can have lots...and hmmm...
And which Uma to get...the one I linked to or this one?
There are DVDs to get, too...I feel like I should bring some with me. I can only think of two that I personally own: Mulholland Drive and Anklaget, so I'll bring those, and I want to get Ronin, Cabaret and Man with a Movie Camera. And perhaps Gorky Park.
Anddd I very well might get my hands on a VHS of Carmen on Ice. Oh SQUEEEEE. I feel like I've got eighteen personalities--each is me at a different age, and every once in a while I have to do something to placate a certain personality. Like ordering Carmen on Ice to make my 11/12/13 (and 18) year-old self happy.
And then CDs I want to have before I get there...I've already ordered Prisme, which hopefully should have been delivered to my house right now, and for some bizzare reason my head has decided it wants the Sound of Music soundtrack. Weird.
I also want crazy chairs and lamps and today I went to Staples and went crazy in the pens/staplers/post-its aisle. I'm really nervous and hesitant about college--but there are also some great parts about it. Like classes (GERMAN!!!) and buying stuff and meeting people. So--we'll see.
