I'm procrastinating...and I was looking through the folder on my mom's laptop that has all the stuff I wrote back in middle school

and here's a sample from something I was writing in like 6th grade, called "Days".

(Read the last line especially; it's a winner. That stupid ignorant man! The nerve of him!)

“Where was it?” asked both Jayne and Christopher simultaneously.
“You’ll never believe this. There was a flight from Amsterdam and all of these people speaking Dutch were standing there, grabbing their suitcases, and then yours went by! So I was grabbing them and one of the Dutch-speaking guys tried to take it. He thought it was his! So I was trying to convince him that it wasn’t but he didn’t speak any English or Gaelic or Middle English or Old English or High German or Low German or Welsh so I couldn’t.”

The cast of characters of this story features Princes Charles and Edward of England, Prince Edward's wife, J.K. Rowling, a bunch of figure skaters and assorted made-up characters, including random Dutch people.

me=so amused right now.

edit: ooh another good one:

“Ah…” Edward said, smiling at Annemieke. “What a good British newspaper headline she would make: ‘Extra! Extra! Wife of Ten-Thousandth in Line to Throne Longs for Olives!’”

I feel like I'm doing [livejournal.com profile] babb_chronicles on myself.
